The India-based audio platform now uses AI for 93% of its content, cutting production costs roughly 80x while scaling output.
Pocket FM said its revenue run rate has doubled to $500 million as AI now powers the vast majority of its audio drama catalog, with 99% of new content produced using generative tools. The company credits an 80x reduction in per-title production cost for enabling the scale-up.
The shift lets Pocket FM greenlight far more titles than a human-only production pipeline could support, testing more concepts against audience data before committing further resources.
This is one of the clearest P&L proofs yet that generative AI can restructure content unit economics, not just speed up workflows. Operators in media, gaming, and education should treat Pocket FM's cost curve as a benchmark for what AI-native production economics can look like at scale.
