Lambda is raising up to $4 billion at a $14.5 billion pre-money valuation, led by Coatue and Blackstone, as it preps a 2027 public listing.
Lambda, the Nvidia-backed GPU cloud provider, is raising as much as $4 billion ahead of a planned IPO in 2027. The round values the company at $14.5 billion pre-money and is being led by Coatue and Blackstone, two of the largest pools of capital in tech and private equity.
The raise underscores how capital-intensive AI infrastructure has become, with compute providers needing massive balance sheets to buy GPUs, build data centers, and lock in long-term customer contracts before going public.
This is a bet that GPU capacity remains the scarcest, most monetizable layer of the AI stack for years, not quarters. For operators, it signals continued tight supply and pricing power for compute providers right as memory costs are also spiking.
