The company is best known for Hermes Agent, and this raise pushes it into direct competition with larger foundation model labs chasing enterprise agent revenue.
The funding round adds to a crowded field of well-capitalized agent startups, but Nous is betting its open research roots give it credibility with technical buyers wary of closed-model lock-in.
